Prof. Bhaskar Choubey visited our group and delivered an academic lecture

Prof. Bhaskar Choubey visited Shenzhen and had an academic exchange with our research group. He also delivered a lecture at the School of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

On July 17, 2026, Prof. Bhaskar Choubey from the University of Siegen visited the Shenzhen Campus of Sun Yat-sen University. During the visit, Prof. Choubey communicated with our research group on CMOS image sensors, intelligent sensing circuits, and the integration of AI with image sensor systems.

Prof. Choubey also gave a lecture titled “CMOS Image Sensors: Selfie, AI and When Will I Have Gazillion Pixel Camera” in Room 2-304 of the East Teaching Building. In the lecture, he revisited the development of CMOS image sensors, discussed current limitations in visual information processing, and shared potential approaches for intelligently integrating AI with image sensors.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for academic discussion and helped broaden our understanding of future research directions in CMOS image sensors and intelligent circuits.
